Nice, 20 seconds 🙂 Fuck I can’t wait till these things are cheaper
Nice, 20 seconds 🙂
@Xpert30 Whaaaaatttt? No performance boost by using ssd in RAID 0? Me thinks someone needs to read a little about RAID before posting.
beating a dead horse, raid 0 doesn’t give faster boot and load times the improvement is negligible. plus increase seek times, higher cpu usage yada yada ain’t worth it faster throughput is nice if you’re copying large dvd’s all the time that’s about it but one crash and yer done, gave up raid 0 years ago. nice to play around with it sometimes though. who cares about boot times anyways leave the sucker on.
@Xpert30
People! These are two SSD’s 1st Generation. 1. Without cache, and secondly with the JMicron controller was not exactly one of the best.
So, first think then post.
So what? There’s no advantage in speed for SSD drives put in RAID. I have even better booting results with my Intel X25-M 80 Gb. My Win 7 Ultimate with installed drivers, programs and antivirus software boots up within 33 sec. since the beginning of POST until the hourglass stops winding in the loaded Windows. Conclusion is, get a proper SSD, cuz OCZ does not live too long and they’re prone to decrease the speed within some time…
also ik weiß ja net was da schnell sein soll.. die bottzeit habe ich auch mit 2 standart festplatten im raid
Ubuntu 10.10 and OCZ Vertex SSD – 10 seconds.
slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
Faster on normal boot, POST takes ages with raid.
yea ppl who see the post screen and go thats slow, and miss the fact it loads windows 7 in about 1sec are fuckin morons.
a post is gonna be slow as it has nothing to do with the operating system or a hard drive. ITS A POWER ON SELF TEST, and will vary depending on your board.
FUCKIN NOOBS. please stay out of IT now, enough dumb asses are flooding the job market as is.
@MouseDotHu
yea ok wtf ever.
Boot time starts the moment you see the windows logo appearing in windows 7, the bios messages do not count.
this is very slow…
my 64gb kingston ssd on windows 7 64 bit boots just as fast…
@Zanarus2242 Yeah dude, it is NOT 2x performance, in theory it would be, but in reality it is only like 15-30%
Same thing with people who do SLI or crossfire, you dont get 2x gaming power or 2x speed. It is much MUCH lower than you think.
But raid 0 DOES speed up performance for sure 🙂 just not 100%
@TheDarre I remember back in the day there was an older type of IDE cable that people kept using which slowed down newer HDDs 🙂
i have a problem, i made a raid0 with 2x Ocz 60gb ssd, it run slow then 1 sdd,Wtf men, i think its the onborad raid?? let me know guyssssssss

Mein iMac ist ja noch mit einer 7200rpm schneller 🙂
Bootet in 30 Sekunden… Aber ist halt Vista 😉
i hate the comments saying „mine boots faster“
its vista goddamnit
vista fucking sucks
Try 7
who gives a fuuuuck!
my normal raid0 7200 rpm starts faster under 1 min
Boot time on a PC Starts from where the hardware check hands over to the system. where you see the windows start to load.
